A Very Brixton Thanksgiving

A Very Brixton Thanksgiving

Bored with the norms of Thanksgiving traditions of hosting a big dinner with friends and family, sweating our lives away in the kitchen, having our empty handed cousin take home a whole aluminum pan of food togo, cleaning behind things in our home that no one will ever see (stove, refrigerator, radiator, etc.),and celebrating the genocide of Native Americans. My sister and I decided to break the cycle and switch it up. We set sail to a new foreign land...Brixton. A predominantly black area in South London filled with culture, trendy bars, good food and even better people. The vibrant heartbeat of this town is enough to make anyone fall in love. This is the side of London you don't see on your tube. Tradition ain't for errbody. Enjoy
